PURPOSE:To obtain a supersonic emulsifier having highly improved emulsifying capability to widen emulsifiable region by forming the emulsifiable region of a flattened hollow chamber partitioned by a flattened vibration plate and a fixed plate. CONSTITUTION:With supersonic vibration vertically synchronized of each vibrator 2, a vibrating plate 3 is supersonically vibrated vertically. And, A liquid, obtained by mixing the first liquid (e.g., oil) and the second liquid (e.g., water) in a predetermined ratio, is introduced through a side hole 10b and a communication hole 14 from an inlet 6 to the emulsification region 5. Then, the mixed liquid in the region 5 is vibrated by the plate 3 when moving toward the outlet 7, where the liquid is vigorously collided with each other between the plate 3 and the fixed plate 4 to disperse and emulsify one liquid into the other liquid. The sufficiently emulsified liquid is flowed out 7 through a communication hole 15 and a side hole 11b. In this case, since the region 5 is of a larger area with the plates 3 and 4, the liquid can be sufficiently emulsified only being passed through the region 5. |
