The cylinder automatically tensions a vehicle track driven by a sprocket and carried on idler rollers and one tensioning roller (3). The sprocket is hydraulic motor-driven. The tensioner is a flexible arm (10) connected to a fixed point on the body and the tensioning roller support. The roller can move in the track longitudinal direction moved by the flexible arm.
