<p>The fastening for securing an inspection cover (3) into an opening in a lamp-post includes a nut (8) on one edge of the cover (3) having projections (12,13) which bear onto the inside of the cover (3) and post respectively. The opposite edge of the cover hooks over the lip of the opening. A screw (11) passes through an elongate hole (7) in the cover and engages into the nut. The screw has a counter-sunk head (11a) and the hole in the cover is tapered so that, as the screw is tightened, the nut is displaced longitudinally causing a projection (12) to move behind the post wall.</p> |
