Differential thermo-analyser with test and reference pattern chambers - has photoelectric pyrometers directed at chamber separating walls

A differential thermoanalysis device has two chambers in a block, each contg. a melting crucible (14,16), one for the test pattern (15) and one for a comparison pattern (17). Photoelectric pyrometers are directed at the openings of the chambers and their outputs drive recording devices. The dependence of the photoelectric pyrometer signals on the photographic density of the test object is reduced without requiring modelling of an absolutely black body. This enables the device to be more widely used and reduces the costs of analysis. Openings (4,5) in the bottoms (6,7) of the chambers (2,3) lead out of the lock (1). The photoelectric pyrometers (24,25) are directed at the separating walls (19,21) between the test (15) and comparison patterns (17). The separating walls are of the same material as the block.
