<p>The structure housing a bar (4) or similar item in a large room, uses an ornamental shaft (1) resembling the chimney of an open fireplace, inside which the bar is raised when not in use. The shaft is suspended from the ceiling, and has sloping sides, wider at the bottom that the top. Inside the shaft are vertical guides (10) and the top of the bar carries corresponding members (11) which slide inside the guides. These members are concealed by the shaft even when the bar is lowered. It is raised by a drive with cables (8) travelling over pulleys (9) connected to a motor driven winding device (7) inside the top of the shaft. The lower edge of the shaft is reinforced by a decorative frame with dimming lamps (5) at the corners.</p> |
