PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a balance weight by moving the second and fourth elevator cars, which are moved by means the first power rope, and the first and third elevator cars, which are moved by means of the second power rope, in respective shafts vertically in the opposite directions mutually at the same time. SOLUTION: A power rope is connected to an elevator car C1 via binding metal fitting 20 and is connected to an elevator car C6 via a binding metal fitting 22. A power rope is connected to an elevator car C3 via a binding metal fitting 32 and is connected to a car C4 via a binding metal fitting 34. A pair of the elevator cars C1, C6 are moved vertically in the opposite directions at the same time via the coupled power ropes 18A, 18B according to the operation of a motor M1, a pair of elevator cars C2, C5 are moved vertically in the opposite directions at the same time via coupled power ropes 24 according to the operation of a motor M2, and a pair of the elevator cars C3, C4 are moved vertically in the opposite directions at the same time via coupled motor rope 30A, 30B according to the operation of a motor M3. |
