PURPOSE:To enable the case of one-phase excitation and two-phase excitation and the interchangeability of a stepping motor driving signal to be employed by a method wherein a period of a drive command pulse array is measured to generate false 1 or 2 phase exciting output. CONSTITUTION:A drive command unit 1 issues an instruction to rotate the stepping motor 7, and the drive command pulse and a rotation sense instructing signal from the drive command unit 1 are fed to a stepping motor control circuit 4 and the exciting output 5 is fed out. The exciting output 5 is supplied to the stepping motor 7 after being power-amplified with a power amplifier 6. Further, an excitation mode selecting means 11, thereby feeding a signal 12 which selects an exciting system to the stepping motor control circuit 4. |
