PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the use of an expensive special record sheet, by a method wherein a device is constituted such that a coating system for information indicating material is mounted in the proximity of a printing head in a printer, and a printing is carried out while the information indication material is applied only to a part where printing on an ordinary record sheet is required. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive, electrostatic and other types printer, a cartridge 10, which is monolithically united with a cartridge 1 and in which an information indicating material, for example, a heat-sensitive, coloring material is housed, is mounted in a position ahead of the printing direction in the proximity of a printing head 2, and an applying member 13 for a coloring material is placed at the end of the cartridge 10. In a printing process running in the direction shown in an arrow mark (a), printing takes place by means of the printing head 2 while the coloring material is applied to an ordinary sheet 7 by means of the applying member 13. In a return process marked in an arrow mark b, the printing head 2 and the applying member 13 parts from a record sheet 7, and sheet-feeding is conducted during said parting. This eliminates the need for the use of a record sheet in which the coloring material is soaked beforehand. |
