PURPOSE:To obtain a recording paper having no space at the tip without imposing the load upon the recording head, by providing a mechanism which releases compression between the recording head and the compressive recording paper feeding roller and moves the recording paper backward after cutting the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Roll-form recording paper 17 is led out by roller 20, which feeds the recording paper while compressing it to recording head 21, and is cut by recording paper cutters (22-1 and 22-2). A mechanism which is released by rotating recording head holder 28 with shaft 29 as the center and mechanism 37 which moves the recording paper backward (the mechanism which rotates 41 with shaft 40 as the center by spring 39 to move the recording paper backward by compressing roller 38 to the recording paper or the mechanism which moves the recording paper backward by rotation of roller 44 having spring 46 energized in accordance with movement of the recording paper) are provided. |
