<p>The pipe has heat insulation and a protective jacket, and is for warmed or cooled media, e.g. fluids, steam, or gas. The pipe (1) consists of a non-rust metal of high rigidity, and a coating (2) of woven fibres engages on the pipe exterior. The coating consists of a woven band (10) of glass- or asbestos fibres, wound straight or helically around the pipe. A hollow ring chamber (3), extending over the whole length of the pipe, is formed between or around the fibre coating. The chamber is evacuated, or filled with a neutral gas, and it is surrounded gas- and humidity proof by a metal protective jacket (4). A leakage monitor wire (19) and/or a measuring- resp. control signal transmission wire (18) is located in the jacket. An anti-corrosion jacket (8,9) surrounds the metal jacket.</p> |
