PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor controller which can improve torque decline in the high speed region of a motor, has an inverter unit with low switching loss and has a filter capacitor with a long life. SOLUTION: A motor controller has a converter unit 2 which converts an AC voltage to a DC voltage and, if the DC voltage is lower than a reference voltage, steps up the DC voltage to the reference voltage, and an inverter unit 3 to which the DC voltage is supplied and which is made to operate in accordance with a torque command calculated from a position command. A motor 4 has a power drive state judgment unit 74 which detects the power drive state of the motor, and a step-up command unit 77 which steps up the DC voltage to a predetermined target when a detection signal is obtained by the power drive judgment unit 74. |
