PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with which the wiping off work for erasing the written items on the surface of a black board can executed even when a moving base, loaded with wiping off members and wiper members, is moved towards either left or right direction of the black board. SOLUTION: Wiper members 240L and 240R are arranged on both or the left and the right sides of wiping off members 230L and 230R, both of which are rotatably loaded in parallel to left and right onto a moving base 201 moving laterally on a black board, so as to be assembled to a movable member 222b, which rocks by the clockwise and counterclockwise rotations of eccentric. Through the rocking motion of the movable member 222b, the set of the left side wiping off member 230L and the wiper member 240L and the set of the right side wiping off member 230R and the wiper member 240R are selectively brought into contact with the surface of the black board.
