<p>Several modified versions are offered of the principle of moutnign an electrically-heated steam generator (16) at the bottom of a funnel (14), a further regulator member (19) being provided for alternately reducing and increasing the exhaust opening. In one version the regulator member is a plate (19) movable between guides and connected to a lever system (10) hinged at a pivot (11) fastened on the main locomotive chassis. An eccentric cam (9) integral with the axis of the front wheel (7) of the locomotive actuates this lever system once per wheel revolution. As a result, the steam exhaust pulses are strictly proportional to the speed of the vehicle (4).</p> |
