PURPOSE:To control microprogram addresses with a simple device by updating sector numbers by dividing microaddresses into sectors and by branching the program. CONSTITUTION:A microprogram is stored in control memory 5, which is divided into a required number of sectors. Counter 1 advances the address in the sector of memory 5, one by one, to display the address in the sector and when testing circuit 2 has a branch according to the internal state of the processor with a microinstruction, it is specified by the program to select a required state signal. The signal set by the circuit 2 sets FF3 and at the same time, counter 1 is reset to set the address in the sector to zero. In response to the indications of the program, register 4 is set and reset to make a jump between sectors and the sector number is updated to control the microprogram with the simple device. |
