<p>The switching mechanism for a video tape recorder has two tape applicator gears, one with a pressure roll and the other one with a pull-out pin for pulling out the video tape from a cassette and bringing it into recording or playback position. The rotary drive of a motor is transmitted to the gears in application and unwinding direction by a gear train. A control keyboard provides the switching of the applicator gears w.r.t. this rotary direction. The transmission gear train has a gear for forward rotation, and another one for the reverse rotation, meshing with a pinion on the drive motor shaft for change-over switching. The rotation of these gears is transmitted to the applicator gears by a larger gear. On the axis of the latter is mounted a swivel lever plate, carrying the gear for forward rotation. A second plate carries the gear for the reverse rotation. These gears have a meshing configuration with the larger gear, while a control key moves one swivel lever plate for alternate connection of the gears to the drive motor pinion.</p> |
