The two components e.g. flat sheets (1,1') to be connected together, parallel and with a certain distance between them, each have a hollow tube (2,2') fixed in a recess in one of their surfaces by adhesive or welding. The upper ends of these tubes, i.e. the free ends, are so formed that they exhibit three planes in the vertical cross section, two planes being radial (E1,E2) and the centre plane (E3) being at a sharp angle to the other two. This forms a 'Z' shaped configuration in the ends of both tubes, which, when placed together, mate with each other and form a single spacing tube between the facing surfaces (4) of the two sheets (1,1'). To hold the two tubes firmly together, a pin (9), is inserted through the centre, and is at least longer than the mating surfaces formed by the two halves (6,7,8). Although forming a rigid connection, the two plates (1,1') are easily separated by removing the pin (9), which can be cylindrical, prismatic or of other cross-sections.
|
