PURPOSE:To carry out exchange of recording paper etc. immediately, to prevent deterioration of image quality due to that of electric characteristics of the recording paper, and to exactly detect feed of the paper, by detecting disorder of the paper. CONSTITUTION:Turn guide 22 for guiding recording paper has destaticizing brush 24, and this is grounded through ammeter 26 and resistance element 27. Further, ammeter 26 is connected to check circuit 29 for stopping running of each device and indicating disorder of recording paper 20. When ammeter 26 does not operate after lapse of a given time from start of copying, circuit 29 detects jamming of paper 20, stops running of each device, and indicates paper jamming on a display device, thus permitting exchange of paper 20 to be immediately carried out in case of disorder, therefore, image quality to be prevented from lowering due to deterioration of paper 20, and feed of paper 20 to be exactly detected. |
