A vehicle seat slide mechanism comprises an outer slide member 26 of generally "U" section, and inner slide member 25 of generally "U" section resting in the outer slide member 26, both arms of both "U" sections having opposing grooves 87, 82 to form tracks for balls 83 so that slide 26 may be rolled over slide 25. The seat may also be adjusted in height at either or both of its front and rear ends, and the back rest angle can be adjusted.
