<p>A child-resistant and senior-friendly unit dose package (10, 110) has a hollow container body (12, 112) and a tray (14, 114) with a plurality of items (16) secured thereto for being dispensed from the container body. The container body (12, 112) has an end (22, 122) with an elongate opening (30) defined by a rim (28), and the tray (14, 114) can be slid to a retracted position in which the tray is located within the container body and a dispensing position in which the tray (14, 114) extends at least partially through the opening (30) of the container body (12, 112). The package includes a separate cap (18, 118) removably securable to the container body (12, 112) to seal the opening (30) and prevent access to the tray (14, 114). Multiple simultaneous manipulations are required to remove the cap (18, 118) from the container body thereby providing a child-resistant connection.</p> |
