<p>The energy generator has Flettner rotors (3) mounted on a movable support and directly or indirectly transferring the energy obtained from the wind to stationary generation plant. The movable support comprises a float, a pendulum or a wire suspension system with one or more load carrying wires, while it effects a to and fro or circulatory motion in the vicinity of the stationary generation plant. The rotors are caused to rotate in the opposite direction at the poles of this movement to provide drive in the other direction. Pref. the generator has two, vertically-spaced suspension wires (11) fed in a closed path around two spaced horizontal guide pulleys (10), between which the rotors (3) are suspended, together with one or more sails. The two pairs of pulleys (10) are carried by two spaced vertical columns (9) each with a take-off drive at its base.</p> |
