The push button switch combined with an indicator lamp and mounted on a vehicle control panel has a cylindrical casinq (10) which fits into a socket in the panel, containing a printed circuit board (12) with components attached. These components include a resistance (20), and above it is a light emitting diode (17) which indicates the operating state of the switch. Adjacent to them is an indicator lamp (27). The printed circuit plate has a notch (31) in two opposite edges forming anchorage points for the indicator lamp. The diode and lamp fit into recesses (33,35) incorporated in the casing. The lamp is enclosed by a conical portion (32) with slots (40) across the bottom, into which fits the edge of the printed circuit plate. An alternative design incorporates two diodes and two resistances.
