Pollen extract for flavouring drinks - prepd. by extn. with ethyl alcohol and opt. distilling off solvent

Pollen extract is used as a flavouring for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Finely ground pollen is mixed with 42% ethyl alcohol in a wt. ratio 1:25-30 and the soln. (previously heated to 30 deg.C) is filtered. If non-alcoholic drinks are to be flavoured the solvent is distilled off at 45 deg.C to leave a pollen extract.
