PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate member connecting structure that is capable of reducing a load applied on an engagement part, and provide a load-bearing structure of a chair and the chair.SOLUTION: A second connection part 102 is provided for connecting an outer shell member 20 with an inner shell member 30, and has a second engagement part 35 provided in the inner shell member 30 and a second engaged part 27 provided in the outer shell member 20 and engaging with the second engagement part 35 in the vertical direction. In an edge part 30c of the inner shell member 30, a first bend part 37 is provided which comprises a first plane part 37a extending along the vertical direction, and a second plane part 37b extending in left and right directions intersecting with the vertical direction from the end 37a1 of the side to separate with respect to the outer shell member 20 of the first plane part 37a.
