PURPOSE:To keep constant the width of electrode and to increase the attachment strength of electrode, by forming the high resistance substance layer having the thickness corresponding to the specified electrode width on the playback stylus made of greater hardness material and changing the side end ot the condutive substance layer and taking it as the electrode. CONSTITUTION:On the playback stylus S made of greater hardness material having wear-resistance, the high resistance substance layer I having the thickness corresponding to the electrode width (w) of specified value is formed, and the side of the layer I is changed to the conductive substance layer up to the specified depth (t) to constitute the electrode Id. For example, on the playback stylus S made of square rod of sapphire, SnO layer I in thickness (w) is formed by sputtering and the protective layer P of Al2O3 is formed on it. Next, after polishment is made so that the side of the layers I and P can appear, the side of the layer I is oxidized by heating under oxygen atmosphere at about 600 deg.C, to change the SnO ranging to the depth 1,000-3,000Angstrom at the side into the conductive substance SnO2 and the stylus can be formed with the slide surface of the part of the electrode end. |
