PURPOSE:To detect the nonuniformity of a color filter in color and image configuration in a short period of time by irradiating a color filter with a color light which permeates through either the first-color stripe region or the second-color stripe region of the color filter and hardly permeates through the other. CONSTITUTION:The inspection apparatus comprises a transparent glass base 10 to support a color filter 9 to be inspected having a crossing stripe-shaped pattern, a color filter 11 for producing a monochromatic light, a lamp 12 for a light source and the like. When a blue filter is used as the color filter 11, the blue light emitted from the lamp 12 and having permeated through the color filter 11 permeates through only the transparent small region A and the cyanic small region C, so that a diagonal line stripe-shaped picture is reproduced on the screen of a television receiver 13. Because the black portion of said stripe-shaped picture corresponds to the yellow stripe region Ye, the quality thereof can be accurately inspected. |
