<p>The simply assembled wall constructions are made by fitting together monolithic elements and are especially suitable for the construction of basins such as swimming pools. The material used for the elements is of low density and the elements are made economically by an extrusion process. A rectangular wall element is used having a smooth inner surface, a rib reinforced outer surface and connecting elements running along the parallel length sides. One connecting element is tongue shaped and the other is a complimentary shaped recess. A number of wall elements can be made into a continuous wall by use of the connecting elements. The elements are made from a self-bearing thermoplast, e.g. linear isotactic polyethylene or polyolefin resin, having an S.G. of 0.4-0.8, preferably 0.45-0.50. The outsides of the elements have the normal S.G. but the core is made of a foam of the same plastic. The connecting elements and the wall elements are pref. made in one piece with the connecting elements protruding from the plane of the wall elements.</p> |
