PURPOSE:To prevent a fluorescent lamp from going out, by successively providing a temperature adjusting member to a stabilizer, consisting of positive characteristic thermistor, and controlling a temperature rise of the stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:In a light-permeable or semipermeable envelope tube 1, a linear tube fluorescent lamp 20 is inserted, then to one end of the envelope tube 1 a screw- in type base 3 is connected while to the other end a cap 15 is connected. In the cap 15 a starter lamp 31 is housed, while in the base 3 a stabilizer 35, cosisting of nonlinear positive characteristic thermistor, is contained. Said stabilizer 35 is successively provided to a temperature adjusting member 43 having a heat radiating action through a conductive terminals plate 37. When power source voltage increases at lighting of the fluorescent lamp, though an electric current flowing in the stabilizer 35 is increased to cause self generation of heat and control a current to the lamp 20, the heat in the stabilizer 35 is transmitted to the temperature adjusting member 43, thus a temperature rise of the stabilizer 35 can be controlled to prevent the lamp from going out. |
