PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of an electrochromic display body while facilitating its manufacture, by making counter electrode lead wires of metallic pipes. CONSTITUTION:On transparent substrate 1 of glass, plastics, etc., thin-film transparent electrode 2 made of tin oxide, indium oxide, etc., is provided and on it, electrochromic thin-film display body 3 made of tungsten oxide, molybdenum oxide, etc., is formed. Over the body, porous light reflecting plate 9 obtained by pressure- forming white powder of Al2O3, etc., with resin, etc., and reaction seed 4 pressure- formed centering on titanium current collector 5 are arranged, and rear surface container 7 made with glass, plastics, etc., is caused to adhere to substrate 1. Then, an LiClO4-propylene carbonate electrolyte is injected via metallic pipe 12 sealed with adhesives 10' and metallic pipe 12 is depressed. This pipe 12 is connected electrically to current collector 5. Thus, the manufacture is facilitated and the reliability is improved. |
