PURPOSE:To prevent the entry of foreign matter such as fingers by providing insertion port covers which intervene between the threads of a feed-in roller in such a manner as to shield the insertion ports in accordance with the opening operation of the frame of a conveying part, to the insertion port for originals. CONSTITUTION:When the frame 4 of a conveying part is turned counterclockwise around a shaft 10 in order to copy a thick original or the like, a depressing part 24 depresses a driven pin 23, and the 1st cover member 15 turns clockwise around a shaft 16, thence the 2nd cover member 20 also erects successively with a guide pin 21 as a guide and its driven end intervenes between the threads of a feed-in roller 7. Therefore, the insertion port is closed as well along with the closing between threads, hence even if foreign matter is placed on an original insertion surface 9 or the like, the entry of this into the apparatus is perfectly prevented and the insertion of fingers and the like is prevented as well. |
