PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable harvester which can surely cut the tails of vegetables with a tail cutter having a simple structure. SOLUTION: This vegetable harvester having a holding conveyer (4) for nipping the foliages of crops taken out from a field and upward conveying the crops in hung postures, and a tail cutter (4a) for cutting the tails of the crops in the hung postures below the nipping conveyer (4), and capable of traveling and harvesting the crops is characterized in that the tail cutter (4a) comprises a peripheral cutting edge (12) capable of being rotated on a lateral shaft and a guide plate (13) in which guide routes (13s) for guiding the tails to the action region of the peripheral cutting edge (12) are formed, and the guide routes (13s) of the guide plate (13) have oblique portions (13t) extended in an oblique direction to the carrying direction of the holding conveyer (4).
