Pipe clamp half-shells whose ends fit together - uses complementary projections and recesses in circumferential and radial directions for fitting

The pipe clamp comprises two half-shells whose respective ends are so shaped that they can be fitted together. The half-shells are at one end shaped with complementary recesses and projections (7-9) which extend in circumferential direction and fit together. The ends of the projections of each half-shell are provided with secondary projections (10-14), which each enter below a portion of the other half-shell, i.e in radially inward direction. These secondary projections may be arranged between the inner and outer cylindrical peripheries of the shells and engage complementary recesses in the respective inner cylindrical surfaces.
