Casing for lining door or window openings (4) provided in a wall (27), said casing being essentially comprised for each one of the sides (1, 2, 3) from the opening (4), of a set of at least two angle-shaped elements (5 and 6, or 7 and 8) each having two legs (5', 5", 6', 6", 7', 7", 8', 8") at right angle, an inner leg (5', 6', 7', 8') extending inside the opening (4) facing and adjacent the one side (1, 2, or 3) from this latter one, and an outer leg (5", 6", 7", 8") extending outside the opening (4) along the wall (27), in such a way as to cover the edges (9 and 10) of the opening (4), the inner legs (5' and 6', or 7' and 8') from one and the same element set (5 and 6, or 7 and 8) being joined together by a covering part (13) simultaneously mounted against the surface from said inner legs (5' and 6', or 7' and 8') opposite to the one facing the side (1, 2 or 3) adjacent to which said legs (5' and 6', or 7' and 8') are laid, a connecting mechanism (11) being provided between said side (1, 2, or 3) and the inner legs (5', 6', 7', 8') to fasten same to the corresponding side, said casing being characterized in that said connecting mechanism (11) comprises on the one hand a fastening support (12) mounted on the inner leg (5', 7') of the element (5, 7) having been laid first and projecting slightly relative to said latter leg into the opening (4) while forming also a bearing for the leg (6', 8') of the other element (6, 8) from the set, and on the other hand means (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) for mounting said fastening support (12) on said side (1, 2, 3) and for adjusting and locking the position of said latter support and the element (5, 7) relative to the side (1, 2, 3) of the opening (4), as well as means (43) for fastening the inner leg (6', 8') of the element (6, 8) laid last on the portion from the support (12) projecting partly from the inner leg (5', 7') of the element (5, 7).
