PURPOSE:To obtain clear, stable and favorable characteristics within ranges of high voltage and high current density by forming a fluorescent screen with use of phosphor in which rare earth element activated phosphor that is excellent in luminance saturation characteristics and zinc sulfide group phosphor are mixed. CONSTITUTION:The fluorescent screen is formed by the phosphor in which the first phosphor and the second phosphor are mixed with weight mixing ratio of 7:3-3:7 by using as the first phosphor, rare element activated phosphor which is excellent in any of temperature characteristics, luminance saturation characteristic and luminance, particularly terbium activated acid yttrium sulfide phosphor (Y2O2S: Tb), and by using as the second phosphor, zinc sulfide group phosphor which has been used for the picture tube so far with favorable temperature characteristic. This facilitates to exceedingly and easily improve temperature characteristic and luminance saturation characteristics, and to obtain a clear, stable color-picture tube. |
