PURPOSE:To obtain a small-diameter quartz oscillator precisely by polishing the surface of a machinable material with a quartz core buried, by sticking a machinable piece to the polished surface, and by polishing the reverse surface while supporting it. CONSTITUTION:A solid cylinder is formed by surrounding quarts core 2 with machinable material 3, and then cut along a slice line to platelike quartz oscillator material 4. Material 4 is supported by attachment-detachment device 6 and then polished by grinding machine 7 and polishing machine 8 into a mirror surface. Machinable piece 11 is fixed to polished arc surface 9 and suctionally supported by suction attachment-detachment device 12 to grind the reverse surface of material 4, which is further polished into a mirror surface to form an arc surface. Core 2 is separated from machinable piece 11 to obtain a quartz oscillator. |
