In the case of a storage and final maturing chamber for meat and sausage products, there is provided an air conditioning device (5) to make the air circulate. Air ducts (7, 9) having outlet and/or inlet apertures are provided for feeding and withdrawing air. In the case of the proposed design, the said outlet and/or inlet apertures are arranged with an approximately horizontal outflow and/or inflow direction. This results in optimum air flow, without the stored material (4) being acted upon by the fed air directly. The air duct (7) for the air to be fed is arranged in the region of the chamber sealing (8) and the air duct (9) for the air to be discharged is arranged in the region of the floor (12) of the chamber. <IMAGE>
