PURPOSE:To compensate the error proper to a hobbing machine and thereby enable precise measurement of the tooth trace and tooth profile by a constitution wherein a measure for measuring a tooth surface, driven by a screw by feeding mechanism provided with a pulse motor, a fitted removably to the hob saddle of the hobbing machine. CONSTITUTION:A gear 6 to be measured is set on a table 2 provided on a bed 1 and a hob-saddle transfer amount detecting device A is provided removably on a column 3 and the hob saddle 4, while a detecting device B for the rotational angle of the gear 5 to be measured is provided also removably on the side surface of the table 2. The rotational-angle detecting device B is constituted by a friction disc plate 8 contacting frictionally with the side surface of the table 2 and by a pulse generator 9 fitted in direct connection with the disc plate and the rotational angle of the friction disc plate 8 is transduced into a pulse by the pulse generator 9. A measure driving device C is fitted removably to the hob saddle 4, while the measure 12 is driven in the right and left directions by the pulse motor 10 and a feeding screw 11, and the amount of error in the tooth trace and tooth profile of the gear 5 to be measured is found by an operation processing device D. |
