PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion in the joint parts or heat-affected parts by welding of stainless steel members by allowing Mo, W, and V to exist in the form of ions in the corrosive soln. contacting said specific parts of a stainless steel. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent the crevice corrosion, pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking by sea water and corrosive liquid contg. >=500ppm halogen ions such as Cl ions in the joint parts or welded parts of stainless steel, ions of MoO4<2->, WO4<2-> or H2VO4<-> are contained by >=0.01g ion/l. In order to form these ions in the soln., soluble alkali salts such as Na2MoO4, Na2WO4, NaVO3, K2MoO4, K2WO4, KVO3 are used as additives for preventing corrosion. |
