The link may be opened and locked closed to facilitate the mounting of sheathed overhead cables on their supporting arms. The link suspends a clip over cradle from a ring at the end of the support arm. The support arm is fixed to a pole or similar structure. The moulded plastics link comprises two halves. Holes in the lower part of each half allow a dowel to pass through both halves and form a pivot. The cable support cradle has a hole which allows it to be suspended from the same dowel. The two halves of the link have a cut-out to allow a close fit round the support arm ring when the two halves are rotated about the dowel so that the ends of the two halves close together. The ends overlap each other so that projections on one snap into holes on the other to lock the two halves together.
