The hydrostatic gear possesses a translational hydraulic motor which is coupled to a poppet and which is loaded by a reversing pump of a position-regulating circuit, into which a stroke-position and stroke-size adjustment device is integrated. In the desired-value preparation complex, there is a function generator which can be activated by a stroke-speed desired-value stage and an analog-value memory. A sawtooth-shaped function trend defined in terms of stroke speed and stroke size is generated from the desired-value signals. By means of a change-over region former, the sawtooth-shaped function trend is provided in its change-over regions with approximated sinoids via a summing element. Via the analog-value memory, signals for stroke-position and stroke-size adjustment are integrated into the position-regulating circuit and are processed during the formation of the guide function. At predetermined maximum acceleration and speed values, a higher double-stroke frequency and a stroke-position and stroke-size adjustment integrated in the position-regulating circuit and independent of rolling movement are achieved.
