<p>The lamp has a housing inside which is housed a transformer. The lampholder has a cylindrical body, with its rear part forming a connection for a sleeve housing the transformer and the connections for the cable. The sleeve is in two parts divided along a central horizontal line parallel with the axis of the body and with a collar at the rear, sealing around the cable. After assembly the whole is sealed with resin. The edges of the sleeve portions, forming the joint are shaped to interlock and form a seal when the whole is resin coated. The sleeve has portions projecting inwards to form supports for the electrical components, and has surfaces to form an anchorage to oppose tensile forces.</p> |
