PURPOSE:To obtain treated water of good quality without lowering the rate of treatment even while a condenser is causing leakage by flowing condensate into a desalting tower from the distributor in resin layers and flowing out the treated water from the tower bottom at an ordinary time, and changing over the condensate inflow port to the tower top part distributor when condenser leakage occurs. CONSTITUTION:Mixed resins of cation and anion exchange resins are packed in a desalting tower 1 which treats condensate, whereby resin layers (a), (b) are formed. Inclusion of Na type SCR, Cl type SAR in particular in the above-mentioned resin layer (b) is avoided. In an ordinary time, valves 31, 33 are opened to introduce the condensate from the distributor 12 in the intermediate part of the resin layers (a), (b), allow the same to flow only through the resin layer (b) and to flow out the treated water from the collector 13 in the tower bottom. On the other hand, when condenser leakage occurs, the valve 31 is closed and the valve 32 is opened to introduce the condensate from the distributor 11 in the tower top part and allow the same to pass through both resin layers (a), (b) so that the treated water is obtained in succession. |
