PURPOSE:To raise efficiency of power generation by a method wherein an electrode for current collection provided on the ray-receiving surface of the solar cell element is manufactured by using phototransmitting conductive material and thereby the part of the area of the electrode is also made to contribute to solar generation. CONSTITUTION:On the ray-receiving surface 10 constituting the solar cell element are formed a center electrode 22 whose cross-sectional area increases gradually in accordance with an amount of collected current, a grid-shaped electrode 21 for current collection extended from the electrode 22 to the peripheral edge of the ray-receiving surface 10, and further the end part 23 of the electrode, etc. In this case, all of these electrodes 22 and 21 and end part 23 are manufactured by using the phototransmitting conductive material. This constitution permits incident rays to permeate these electrodes and end part, to reach the ray-receiving surface and to make the surface generate power-generating function as well, whereby the efficiency of power generation can be raised.
