PURPOSE:To obtain the rectified voltage of 2<1/2>/n times the AC power source voltage by charging pieces of capacitors at every half cycle of the AC power source voltage, connecting these capacitors to a load in parallel, and discharging these capacitors. CONSTITUTION:A current is supplied to a diode Db, the capacitors C1-Cn and diode D1-Dn-1 when a terminal 1a is in the positive half cycle. Since the capacity of the capacitor C1-Cn is the same, the capacitors are charged to the approximately equal voltage. The rectified voltage which is the 2<1/2>/n times the AC power source voltage is applied to the load R0. When a terminal 1b is in a positive half cycle, a transistor Tr is conducted through a diode Dc and a resistor R1. The electric charge of the capacitor C1 is discharged through the transistor Tr and the electric charges of the capacitors C2-Cn-1 are discharged through diode D''1-D''n-2, the transistor Tr, the load R0, and diodes D'1-Dn-1. Since the capacitors C1-Cn are virtually connected in paralll with the load R0, the rectified voltage which is 2<1/2>/n times the AC power source voltage is likewise obtained. |
