A base portion of a paper punch consisting of a base plate (1), forming the cutting die and having downwardly bent marginal strips (11) and, connected to the base plate, cheeks (22, 22') which form pressure frames and comprise the perforating punch guides (25, 25') and the mountings (24, 24') for the pressure-applying lever, in which lower portion the pressure frames, connected to the base plate (1), consist of a sheet-metal blank (2) which comprises two upwardly bent zones each forming a cheek (22, 22') with a mounting (24, 24') for the pressure-applying lever, from which zones the marginal zone (23, 23'), forming the perforating punch guide (25, 25'), is bent over inwardly and horizontally, characterized in that the median zone (21) of the sheet-metal blank (2) is rigidly connected to the base plate (1) and each of the downwardly bent tabs cut out from the median field (21) and bearing against a vertical indentation in the bent marginal strip (11) of the base plate (1) engages beneath the lower edge of the marginal strip (11) in the manner of a hook.</p> |
