PURPOSE:To enable to read desired information accurately by controlling a read of data information in a memory area by comparing address information reproduced from the memory area and then discriminated, with address information in an assigned memory area. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of a reproduced signal A/D-converted by data reproducing circuit 3 of read signal generation part R, bit counter, character counter and block counter 4-6 of read signal detection detecting part T count the number of bits, the number of characters, and the number of blocks forming address information in a memory area. Those count values are compared by comparator 8 with bit, character and block numbers forming address information in a memory area to be read assigned by trigger signal setting circuit 7. The coincidence output of comparator 8 controls read part I to control a read of readout data information by head 1, and even if the moving speed of a recording medium varies, the read signal that corresponds to read information can accurately be detected. |
