PURPOSE:To eliminate the oppressive force of the belt during put on by the motorist, by a method wherein the slip cam of the specific form is fitted movably with the rotating shaft, and the tensionless mechanism is put in work only after the slack of the belt is once rolled in and then a small length of the belt is pulled out for slack. CONSTITUTION:When the motorist moves his body forward from the tensionless posture, the slip cam 9 rotates with the ratchet 8 and the outer circumferential surface of the large diameter cam 9a pushes the tip of the engaging lever 16 outside, therefore, the end of the engaging lever 16 goes off the ratchet 8 and the belt is pulled out. When the motorist returns to his former posture, the engaging lever 16 engages again with the ratchet 8 as the slip cam rotates to the first position where the recess 9c of the slip cam engages with the click of the engaging lever 16. The seat belt becomes tensionless again at the first tensionless position. The tensionless position is stored in this manner. |
