PURPOSE:To form thick molding having good strength and shape by a simplified method in which a molding material whose thickening portion is folded is used in the molding of a resin by a press molding method involving a partial thickening process. CONSTITUTION:A press molding material 6 of a shape similar to that of product, whose folded portion 6a has a thickness approximating to an objective thickness, is formed, by folding a plate plastic resin material prepared as a material for charging in molds at its thick part-forming portion (thickening process portion). Then, the press molding material 6 is charged into molds and then pressed to form a thick part while causing the material to move P' in the outward direction as shown by arrow mark from the folded portion 6a by the pressure in the thick part-forming portion 7 of the molds in order to obtain a desired molding product. |
