PURPOSE:To clearly separate a mixture in a short time without requiring strict adjustment of pH and ligand concn. by using a developing medium for electrophoresis prepared by dissolving a separation accelerator, in a nonaqueous solvent, which acts on a component in the mixture and can form a bonded body with the component so that high decomposability is given. CONSTITUTION:As the nonaqueous solvent a polar solvent such as (substituted) aldehyde, ketone, nitrile, alcohol, ester or ether is used. When metal ions, metalloid ions or other ions are separated, a ligand such as amide or an amine compound capable of bonding to the ions is used as the separation accelerator. In order to accelerate the separation of a molecular compound consisting of a donor and an acceptor, a compound opposite to the donor or acceptor is used as the accelerator. For example, in case of the separation of I2 or ICl, trimethylamine is used as the donor. Thus, such a suitable solvent and such a suitable separation accelerator are selected in accordance with an object to be separated. |
