PURPOSE:To improve the operation change responsiveness of the partition plate and the valve plate without enlarging the setting torque for the bimetal in a temperature sensitive viscous fluid coupling apparatus by reducing the sliding resistance between said partition plate and said valve plate in a viscous fluid. CONSTITUTION:Passage 8a and 8b are formed in a partition plate 8 separating a working chamber 9 and a storing chamber 10 so that the viscous fluid in the storing chamber 10 can flow into the working chamber 9. The valve plate 12 contact with the partition plate 8 and slides on a circular arc through a bimetal 13, which operates on detecting the air temperature in the rearward of a radiator. In response thereto the valve plate 12 opens or closes the passages 8a and 8b in the partition plate 8. Providing the valve plate 12 with several slight projections 12a permits the partition plate 8 and the valve plate 12A to be in point contact with each other, so that the sliding resistance largely decreases. |
