<p>A device for opening medicine-filled ampoules is a rectangular plate, made of metal or plastic and consisting of two parts with a groove and tongue joint. A rectangular cut-out along one long side has at the bottom a saw blade which is held captive in a slot. This saw is used to cut part-way through the ampoule neck. The thickened part of a short side has several holes of different diameters for the common diameters of ampoule necks. The latter can be broken off after sawing a nick or nipped off if no saw cut is required. This device is easy to operate and simple to mfr.</p> |
